As summer draws to a close, the children of New Ipswich get one last hurrah this weekend, during the 155th annual Children’s Fair.
The fair is held on Saturday at the New Ipswich Congregational Church on Main Street from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The fair features a children’s area in the parking lot that features games for children, hayrides, pony rides, petting zoo and face painting, among other attractions.
The children’s entertainment also features Dan Grady’s Marvelous Marionette Medley at 2 p.m.
Ackerson’s Auction will begin at 11 a.m. This is a live auction with some silent auction items. It features antiques, collectibles, and furniture.
There is also a book sale, held in the church basement, a Garden Shoppe, a rummage sale, and raffles featuring gift baskets. This year the fair will not be holding a White Elephant sale due to being unable to use the Town Hall and space constraints.
Additionally, the annual school supplies drive will take place again this year. Bring any donations of school supplies items to the fair; no item is too small.
The money raised from the fair is distributed to local children’s and youth organizations in the Monadnock Region.
