A family contra dance will be held as part of Hancock Old Home Day on Saturday, Aug. 20.
Mary Desrosiers will call the dances with music offered by Matt Harris and Conor Sleith.
Desrosiers is an accomplished caller of old and new dances and veteran folk singer. She has taught the dance styles and singing games of New England to audiences of all ages in town halls, schools, and festivals across the country.
The dance, which is free and open to all, will be held on the common from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
