“The Colorful Country of India” will be presented by Robert Moses on Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Dublin Community Center.
Originally from South Africa, Moses has lived with his wife and three children in Dublin since 2004. His interest in India was sparked in the early 1970s when he began to study and practice yoga. He first visited India in 1981 as a yoga teacher, and has made dozens of extended trips in the years since.
Through his company, Namarupa Yatra, he guides international groups to experience a part of India usually unknown to tourists. They visit beautiful, ancient and still active temples and annual festivals, as well as places of natural beauty and cultural significance.
Along the way, Moses has photographed and video-recorded the people and places of India. He is also the founder and co-publilsher of a magazine, “Namarupa Categories of Indian Thought.”
He will talk about and offer a multimedia presentation of his travels.
This event, to be held at 7 p.m., is free and open to the public.
