Steven Baldwin of Dublin will recount his adventures while metal detecting throughout the Monadnock region and beyond at the annual meeting of the Jaffrey Historical Society on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Jaffrey Civic Center.

Baldwin took up metal detecting after retiring as Hancockโ€™s police chief. The hobby has become his passion and he has discovered numerous coins, tools, jewelry โ€“ anything and everything metal.

Baldwin will describe his many finds and his approach to metal detecting. Heโ€™ll have his equipment with him and as a conclusion to the talk has promised to see what he can find below the Civic Center lawn.

The program will be preceded by a very short annual meeting. All are welcomeย to attend this free event. Refreshments will follow.
