Nathaniel Blanchette of Hancock was among more than 175 students who presented their freshman innovation projects at the Western New England University College of Engineering’s 2016 Emerging Expo in Springfield, Massachusetts. Blanchette’s project was entitled “The Perfect Step: A Pressure Sensor Matrix to Correct Gait.” Freshman Product Innovation projects allow students to gain experience and knowledge at an early stage of their education with innovation and design of a new product.
