An exhibit of “Paintings in Pastel” by Maryann Mullett will be on display at Sunflowers Cafe beginning Aug. 3.
Mullett’s paintings feature nature, birds and summer’s bounty from the gardens — whether it be close-up views of flora or luminous vegetables artistically displayed at local farmers’ markets.
Her paintings will be shown through Sept. 6.
A meet-the-artist event will be held on Sunday, Aug. 7, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. with a brief artist’s demonstration and light refreshments served.
