RindgeTalk on “Night”at library

Marcia Breckenridge will be discussing “Night,” a major work by Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel, on Aug. 15 at 3 p.m. at the  Ingalls Memorial Library. The short autobiographical book was written in 1960 by the world-renowned author.

Wiesel was 16 when Buchenwald was liberated by the United States Army in 1945, too late for his father. He is pictured in the famous pictures of skeletal survivors on their bunks. His book has been translated into 30 languages and is one of the bedrocks of Holocaust literature.
