The fourth session of swimming lessons being offered by the Peterborough Recreation Department will begin on Aug. 1.
Most lessons are offered at Adams Pool; the only exception is a Level 2 class that is held at Cunningham Pond. There are stairs at the pool so that Level 1 participants can enter the pool.
The classes meet Monday through Thursday for two consecutive weeks. Friday is reserved as the make-up day in case of thunderstorms.
Session 4 will begin Aug. 1 and end on Aug. 11.
The cost for group lessons is $43 per session for residents and $54 per session for nonresidents.
Private lessons also are offered. The cost is $28 per half hour for residents and $38 per half hour for nonresidents.
The Peterborough Recreation Department offers six levels of Red Cross swimming lessons throughout the summer along with a Tiny Tots class, an Adaptive Swim class, a class for pres-schoolers as well as private swim lessons.
