As the skies threatened to open up, 33 runners braved the heat and humidity we’ve hardly seen this summer thus far. Hot and steamy was the conditions and the same could be said for the racing. Mascenic senior and top returning Division 3 harrier Jake Movsessian won the race in 17 minutes, 16 seconds over his former team mate and soon to be Cedarville runner Avery Traffie. Following the top two in were Nels Traffie, ConVal coach Lance Flamino and soon to be ConVal cross country runner Evan Coyne.
For the women, Tanya Smith finished 24 seconds up on second place finisher Wendy Price. Naomi Traffie, Heidi Somero and Lauren Somero made up the top five for the ladies.
