A total of 272 student-athletes in the Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics have been named to the 2016 spring semester edition of the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, as announced earlier this summer by the Conference office. In addition, 11 student-athletes garnered perfect, 4.0 grade-point averages.

The 11 student-athletes who earned perfect 4.0 GPAs in the fall represented seven different programs: baseball’s Andrew Barnes and Kurtis White, women’s lacrosse’s Nicole Beliveau and Nicole Dale, women’s soccer’s Sariye Demirgioglu and Anna Holtschlag, men’s track & field’s Ryan Dionne and Mitchel McNanna, women’s track & field’s Samantha Bureau, field hockey’s Chelsey Burnell and women’s golf’s Taylor Schmidt.

The 272 student-athletes were the fifth-most in the 16-team Northeast-10, trailing only Bentley (374), Assumption (287), Merrimack (276) and Adelphi (274). The Ravens saw 64% of their student-athletes honored, which ranked sixth in the league. In all, 3,661 student-athletes were honored by the Conference for their work in the classroom in the spring semester, with a league-record 61% of Northeast-10 student-athletes landing on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

Franklin Pierce sponsors 17 programs which compete in the Northeast-10, with 13 of them putting 10 or more student-athletes on the Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll. Seven programs had upwards of 20 members earn the accolade: women’s cross country/track & field (32), men’s cross country/track & field (31), men’s lacrosse (25), field hockey (22), baseball (20), men’s ice hockey (20) and women’s soccer (20).
