A tractor-trailer truck obstructed Route 101 traffic in Dublin for nearly an hour on Tuesday, after it became stuck when the driver attempted to turn around.

Souren Mousesian, a driver delivering a truckload of spring water from California to Albany, New York, attempted to turn around at Lake Road to seek an alternate route in order to avoid a steep grade on Route 9, according to Dublin Police Chief Stephen Sullivan.ย

However, the slope of the road caused the trailerโ€™s landing gear to dig into the pavement, and the drive wheels ended up off the paved portion of the road. Soon Mousesian found himself unable to move.

Mousesian was not injured, โ€œexcept maybe his pride,โ€ said Sullivan, and the obstruction did not cause any other accidents while it was being resolved. Eventually, a tow truck was able to free the vehicle, which continued on its way under its own power.

No major damage was done to the road as a result of the landing gear getting caught, said Sullivan.ย
