The Peterborough Players’ next presentation is the regional premiere of Sharr White’s “Annapurna.”
After twenty years apart, Emma tracks her estranged ex-husband, Ulysses, to a trailer park in the middle of nowhere for a final reckoning. Now after decades apart, the former couple can at last be truthful with each other as they revisit the events of their last night together.
What unfolds is a visceral and profound meditation on love and loss with the simplest of theatrical elements: two people in one room.
“Annapurna” is a breathtaking story about the longevity of love.
Annapurna stars Artistic Director Gus Kaikkonen (RED, Laughing Stock), Players favorite Lisa Bostnar (Charley’s Aunt, Born Yesterday) and is directed by Managing Director Keith Stevens. Performances are July 6-17, Tuesday-Sunday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at 924-7585 or online at www.peterboroughplayers.org.
Annapurna is rated R due to strong language and partial nudity.
