The NH Wild lost the first game of their five-game home series against the Old Orchard Beach Surge on Tuesday, a 4-1 affair at Franklin Pierce University.

Anthony Siese, a lefty formerly of the Colorado Rockies organization, took the loss, giving up four runs in two innings while striking out one. Greg Jasek pitched admirably in relief, going four innings with no earned runs and striking out seven.

Eventually, former big leaguer Jorge De Leon would finish the game out on the mound, striking out the side.

Benny Collesano was pitching a gem for the Surge before he was struck by a line drive and removed from the game. Cody Frank ended up with the win.

The lone Wild run was scored in the seventh, when first baseman Ramon Cedeno walked and was driven in by Mark McCouchโ€™s single.

The Wild return to action at FPU tonight at 6:30 p.m. against Old Orchard Beach.
