An exhibit of photographs by Greenfield resident Stacy Hannings will be on display at the Peterborough Town LIbrary for the month of June.

Hannings has been influenced by nature from a very young age, and uses it as the inspiration for her artwork. In her work, Hannings focuses on transience, the idea that things only last for a brief moment in time. She does that by capturing moments and preserving them, allowing people to revisit these immortalized moments in her photographs.

Hannings describes her artistic process, “I often wander into the woods, making sure to find quiet, relatively untouched areas. I feel like a kid again, filled with that same excitement and alertness. My inspiration comes from the natural things and light around me.”

She is a 2010 graduate of ConVal High School and earned a fine arts degree from Colby Sawyer College in 2014. She is working her sixth season at Rosaly’s Garden.
