The Wilton Ambulance Service recognized several of its members in a dinner in honor of EMS Week.

While the dinner, held at Touchstone Farm in Temple, honored all members of the EMS service, the Wilton Ambulance gave special recognition to EMT Jennifer Hagerty, who was awarded Provider of the Year, and Billy Quigley, a nonmedical driver, who was awarded Probationary Member of the Year. Captain Robert Cole was also recognized with an Appreciation Award and as the member of the ambulance service who had put in the most volunteer or on-call hours this year.

Paramedic Toni Bachand and EMT-I Kathleen Zirpolo were given nods for their length of service, with this year marking 15 and 10 years in the ambulance service, respectively.

ffAt the dinner, Ambulance Chief Gary Zirpolo commented on the ambulance service’s accomplishments, stating that it would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of all the members – from the non-medical personnel to the EMTs to the paramedics. Zirpolo also thanked the significant others and family members for giving up their time with loved ones to serve and protect the community.

Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Wilton Ambulance Service, which serves Wilton, Lyndeborough and Temple, should contact Zirpolo at 654-2222 or by e-mail at gzirpolo@wiltonnh.org. No experience is necessary.
