The Boynton softball team traveled to Auburn to increase their record to 6-2.
The Lady Bulldogs came out strong, scoring seven in the first, three runs off Kelly Zwicker’s double to left. Auburn earned one in the first and added two more in the second.
Boynton brought in three more runs in the second and eight in the third with hits from Samantha Hughson, Tori Cardinal, Brynn DePauw, and Emma Knisley.
Bottom of the third and fourth, the Lady Bulldogs held Auburn scoreless.
Top of the fifth, Boynton earned one more as Zwicker was hit in by Shelby Babin.
With last ups, Auburn was able to score one between two bulleted throw outs between catcher, Shelby Babin and Kelly Zwicker, tagging the runners as they led too far off third to end the game, 19-4.
