Sophomore midfielder Briana Sweeney of the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team has been named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches AssociationAll-North Region Third Team.
It is the first career All-Region selection for the sophomore, who earned her first All-Northeast-10 Conference accolade earlier this spring after she led the team in scoring with 63 points on 54 goals and nine assists. The 54 goals are currently good enough to tie for fifth in the Northeast-10, while the 63 points are tied for 11th.
Sweeney currently ranks 19th in the country in goals per game (3.38) and 48th in the nation in points per game (3.94).
