Rick Taylor, also known as Abner Serd, will visit the Toadstool Bookshop in Milford today, May 12, at 4 p.m.
A writer, author and walking storyteller from Quincy, Taylor runs a podcast of short humor, shaggy dog and tall tale stories, and has a manuscript for a book of these talesproduced and ready to find a publisher.
Telling stories for more than 20 years, Taylor has walked across America twice, and twice completed the Appalachian Trail end to end. After studying to become a librarian and not finding work, he taught himself Java from a book and has been a successful software engineer for many years. In 2015 he took the bold step of leaving paid work behind to become a full-time writer and storyteller.
