Branch River Theatre will present a production of “Tartuffe,” a play by Moliere, at the Marlborough Community House with an opening performance on Friday, May 13.
This satire comedy written by Molière in the 17th century, about obsession, reverence, devotion, hypocrisy, love, self-indulgence and deceit, has withstood the test of time. Directed by Tyler Strickland of Peterborough, the show is set in France during the lavish Baroque Era with all of its lace, rouge, and golden decadence.
Performances will be held at 8 p.m. on May 13, 14, 20 and 21, with 2 p.m. matinees on Sunday, May 15 and 22.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors age 62 and over, or if purchased in advance.
