A workshop on the installation of solar photovoltaic systems will take place on Wednesday, May 18, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Bass Hall in Peterborough.

An optional tour of Peterborough’s solar array will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

During the presentation, participants will learn what is needed to get solar PV installed on their property including panel placement and logistical considerations, permitting and grid interconnection, financing and installer selection.

Andy Duncan, energy training manager at Lakes Region Community College, will conduct the workshop.

“Solar electricity is here and growing in popularity throughout New Hampshire,” said Duncan. “There is a lot to be considered if a homeowner wants to have solar PV installed, and this presentation will answer those questions.”

This workshop is free and open to the public.

The workshop is being provided with support from the U.S. Department of Energy SunShot Initiative Rooftop Solar Challenge II, in partnership with the New Hampshire Office of Energy and Planning and Clean Energy States Alliance.
