There wasn’t an ounce of doubt in the ConVal boys’ lacrosse team on Friday night against Coe-Brown. The Cougars jumped out to an early lead and held it on the strength of rapid-fire goals and lock-down defense.
ConVal took a 9-1 lead into the half and ended up winning 14-1.
Jake Phillips and Danny Parker scored four goals apiece, with the remainder coming from Scott Stanley (2), Jimmy Stewart (2), Hunter Gullage and C.J. Caron.
Stewart had three assists.
ConVal is now 3-1 on the season, with a pair of rainouts from the early season still to be made up. The Cougars were scheduled to play at Bishop Brady on Monday afternoon after press time. ConVal travels to Stevens (1-5) on Friday at 7 p.m.
