James Record’s grand slam in the fifth inning gave Conant all the edge they’d need against Pelham as the Orioles won 11-1 on Friday. Craig Bilodeau also hit a two-run homer and knocked in another pair with a double. Bilodeau and Chance Kirby stole two bases apiece and Quinton Aho matched them with four of his own. Starter Corbin Sasner allowed four hits in four innings and struck out one for the win.
Conant has won four straight since their opening loss to Campbell. The Orioles (4-1) were set to take on Hillsboro-Deering (0-5) Monday after press time; they host Monadnock (6-0) Wednesday at 4 p.m.
