To the editor:
No presidential candidate is perfect but what ever happened to picking the better of the worst? There are plenty of human faults to go around but do we want a halfway stable nation or not? Godlessness, immorality, debt spending and illegal immigration are killing us.
Americans love the fruits of a good sound educated family man and hate the ramifications of broken homes and fatherless children, which breeds so much alcohol and drug abuse, murder, child abuse, all manner of crime, full jails and you name it. Yet half or more of Americans would never vote for a man like Ben Carson, who is very educated, very moral and a downright decent God-fearing man.
Most Americans seemingly want a president who can manage government somewhat within its means and not just helter skelter borrow our future generations into infinity. Yet a majority would never vote for proven successful governors like Bush, Christy, Walker, Perry or Kasich.
Most Americans by far want a good economy with flourishing businesses and low unemployment along with illegal immigration stopped and limits to how much our socialist system can be bled. Yet again, more than half the voters would never consider checking the box for Trump, a man with a very successful business record who would build a long overdue fence.
Certainly there’s no perfect candidate and most voters would hate one anyway. Just consider the perfect one who healed the sick and helped the poor. He was put to death by crucifixion and still hated today.
Instead, voters will pick Hillary, the one with no business experience, never governed a state, coddles the IRS while oppressing businesses, and will never build a fence. After all why stop criminals from entering when you’re one yourself?
America gets what it votes for and deserves all the consequences.
