Freshman James Bisazza of the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie Team, as announced on Wednesday afternoon by the Conference office.

Bisazza opened his freshman campaign with some early success at the USTA/ITA East Region Championships, where he went 2-1 to advance to the quarterfinal round of ‘A’ Flight singles play. From there, he played exclusively at first singles for the Ravens during the season, posting an 11-9 record along the way, pushing his overall singles record for his first collegiate season to 13-10. Bisazza’s record included a 5-5 mark against Northeast-10 competition.

On the doubles side of things, Bisazza split time between first and second doubles. The majority of his time was spent in 11 matches at second doubles, where he posted a 5-6 record by teaming with Olivier Viel. Bisazza also logged eight matches at first doubles, putting together a 2-6 mark alongside Marcus Lawrence.

Bisazza led the Ravens to a 6-15 mark in 2015-16, which included a 3-7 record in Northeast-10 play.
