To the editor:
Have you ever wondered what drives our Select Board members to seek office? Why would anyone put in the thousand or so hours, at far less than minimum wage – particularly someone like Barbara Miller who has worked in top levels of Fortune 1000 companies?
To our great good fortune, Barbara has felt the need to give back from her success. She has served Peterborough diligently for three terms and is willing to continue for a fourth. She has helped our town begin to turn around after some tough times.
I have worked with Barbara over the past year on strategic planning and broadband possibilities for economic development. She enters every meeting with a smile. She approaches each issue with intelligence, energy and insight. She seeks tangible results. The town of Peterborough benefits greatly from the high quality of Select Board members such as Barbara.
I urge fellow Peterborough residents to vote for Barbara Miller on the town ballot Tuesday May 10.
