The FPU softball team went on a three-game win streak this week, beating SNHU once and St. Michael’s twice.
With one out in the bottom of the eighth inning on Monday, sophomore first baseman Aubrey Bianco drove the ball the other way and cleared the fence in right-center field for a walk-off home run, as FPU completed a come-from-behind, 6-5, eight-inning victory over SNHU.
Freshman Sabrina LoMonaco did not allow a run or a hit and struck out one over the final 2.1 innings to pick up the win (2-7) in relief.
In Tuesday’s doubleheader against St. Mike’s, senior third baseman Erin Wood went yard twice in the first game and once more in the second to propel FPU to a sweep.
The Ravens won the first game 15-1 with Mandi Adee on the mound and won the second 14-9, with freshman Abbie Paquette picking up the win.
With the wins, Franklin Pierce improves to 14-18 (9-9 Northeast-10, 9-9 Northeast Division).
The Ravens return to the field on Friday, when they host Stonehill at 4 p.m.
