After a disappointing opening-game 13-4 loss to Campbell, Conant made some serious strides at Bishop Brady on Friday.
“Mentally, we weren’t prepared for Campbell,” said head coach Tom Lambert after the game. “Yesterday, we walked in prepared, and it showed. We all played really well — everybody picked everybody else up.”
Conant won 7-1.
Brenna Welch got the win on the mound. Maddy Springfield and Sierra Landry each went 2-4, and Madison Picard scored two runs. Brianna Dionne singled and scored.
Conant (1-1) hosts Fall Mountain (0-2) on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
