If you have stopped for sandwiches, cookies, or anything else at the Dublin General Store in the past 14 years, chances are you’ve seen the smiling face of Dottie Bunk behind the counter.

Bunk, who is approaching her crystal anniversary working at DGS, says that it is the friendly faces that keep her coming into work every day.

“I love this job and I love the people,” said Bunk. “Ninety-nine percent of the customers that come in are wonderful. But no matter what, you treat them all with a smile.”

Bunk currently works part-time.

“I didn’t want to retire,” said Bunk. “I don’t do well when I’m just sitting around.”
