The KFC/Taco Bell building in Rindge sustained exterior and interior damage to the women’s bathroom on Tuesday, May 22 around 10:25 a.m. after a vehicle struck the building, according to Rindge police, after a vehicle struck the building. Anjela Dearden, 62, of Fitzwilliam, was parking her 2011 Toyota RAV4 when she hit the gas pedal instead of the break, causing the vehicle to go over the curb and crash into a trash can and the front of the building. Jaffrey-Rindge School District announces principal finalists

The Rindge Police Department participated in the Special Olympics torch run on Thursday, with officers ferrying the torch from Emma’s 321Pub & Kitchen in Rindge to the 8th Circuit Court in Jaffrey. “It’s such a great cause, to try to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics,” said Sgt. Jeff Seppala, who organized the run, which is an annual event for the Rindge Police Department. “When you see a kid getting their award, the looks on their faces, it makes it all worth it.” Participants in the torch run, from left to right are Officer Craig Tucker, who drove the escort police cruiser, John Ciarcia, Max Rocheleau, Dan Anair, Melissa Seppala, Dannielle West, Hnou Seppala, Jeff Seppala and Jana Seppala.

Harisville-based artist Hans Schepker was an artist in residence at Jaffrey-Rindge Middle School this past week. Working with students over several days, Schepker guided the students through the creation of a lamp made of several stained glass panels, which will be on display in the school next year.
