The Peterborough Renewable Energy Planning Committee is hosting a free NHSaves Button Up New Hampshire home energy savings workshop for residents Saturday Sept. 10, at 11 a.m. at MAXT Makerspace, 49 Vose Farm Road, Suite 110, in Peterborough.
The workshop is a 1 1/2-hour presentation about how to improve the energy efficiency of a home. It is conducted by a certified energy auditor and covers basic building science principles as well as examples of whole-house weatherization measures that will button up a home for the heating and cooling seasons. It also covers details about the energy-efficiency programs offered by New Hampshire utilities for existing homes and new construction that provide energy audits, weatherization measures such as air-sealing and insulating and rebates on new technologies and products such as electric and gas appliances and high-efficiency electric heating/cooling equipment.
The workshop is free and no registration is necessary. People who wish to attend via Zoom or have questions should send email to Roy Schlieben at roy@maxmakerspace.org.
