Shelter from the Storm, a nonprofit organization that provides transitional housing and support services for the homeless, will hold its annual Antique Road Show-Style event and raffle on Sept. 30 at the Woodbound Inn in Rindge. The event will start at 5:30 p.m. and the grand prize of $2,016 will be drawn that evening.
Raffle tickets are $35 and will admit two people to the roadshow. Each ticket allows two items to be appraised by the professional antique appraisers Samuel and Jason Hackler, owners of the New Hampshire Antique Co-op in Milford, as well as appraisers David Searles, and Michael Black. Ticketholders will also have a chance to win $2,016 as well as dozens of other raffle prizes of merchandise donated by local companies and retailers. Group tickets are 5 for $150.
Music, wine, food and a cash bar complete the evening. There will also be a 50/50 drawing, and a silent and a live auction, which will include local artwork, themed baskets, and items for everyone. The live auction will include dinner for 12 at the Woodbound Inn, local art, wine, and much much more.
Tickets are available at the Jaffrey Chamber of Commerce, SFTSโs office at 45 Knight St. (532-8222), the New Hampshire Antique Co-Op in Milford, and from committee and board members of Shelter from the Storm, or may be purchased online at www.shelterfromthestormnh.org. You do not have to be present to win the raffle.
