Vote forJeanne Dietsch

To the editor:

In the 10 years I have served as a Peterborough selectman, I have never publicly campaigned for a candidate for an elective state office.  I am taking a position this year because I feel so strongly about electing Jeanne Dietsch to the New Hampshire Senate, District 9.

Jeanne believes strongly in public service and shares our community-minded values. She served on the School Board, the Zoning Board, and has been leading a strategic planning process for our Economic Development Authority.  As a liaison to the EDA, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with Jeanne on town issues.

I believe there are two kinds of people in this world. There are those people who recognize that something needs to be done and they ask themselves, why should I?  Others, like Jeanne Dietsch, see something needs to be done and say, why not me?

Jeanne is a doer. She gets things done. She’s the person you want on your committee – no, she’s the person you want leading your committee. I appreciate her high energy, clarity of vision, and her ability to help teams move from vision to action.

I am excited that we have a brilliant, entrepreneurial, strong woman from Peterborough running for the New Hampshire Senate. I believe Jeanne will be an outstanding representative for our town and our whole region.

If you are unaware of her background and her positions on critical issues facing our state, I encourage you to learn more.  Her website is jeannedietsch.org.

I will see you at the polls on Sept. 13 and Nov. 8.
