Parenting young children from birth to five years old can be challenging.
The Grapevine Family & Community Resource Center will host Positive Solutions for Families to help parents learn strategies to promote positive behavior.
Some topics to be covered include: Using praise and encouragement to shape behavior; Establishing everyday routines and teaching household rules; Understanding the reason behind behavior and managing challenging behavior; Making the most of playtime.
The group will be held on Thursdays, beginning Oct. 7 and running through Nov.11, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.

This is a free program, run in conjunction with Riverbend. The first 10 families will receive a $100 Shaw’s gift card upon completion of the program.
