A motorcyclist was airlifted on Saturday evening after a crash that police say involved a road rage incident with another driver.

Doug Robida, 59, of Greenville, was traveling South on Route 31 on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he crashed.

Police arrested the driver of the Subaru WRX following behind the motorcycle, Kevin Daniels, 28, of Greenville, and charged him with reckless conduct in relation to the crash, Temple-Greenville Police Chief James McTague said.

Both vehicles were traveling at a high rate of speed according to witnesses, McTague said.ย

โ€œCurrently, the indication is they were both involved in, for lack of a better term, a road rage incident,โ€ McTague said. โ€œWeโ€™re trying to determine what happened now.โ€

McTague said police are currently interviewing crash witnesses, and have not ruled out bringing further charges against either driver.

Robidaย was taken by helicopter to UMass Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. McTague did not know the extent of his injuries, or his current status.

Daniels was released on personal recognizance and issued a court date of May 23 at the Hillsborough Superior Court in Nashua.
