The ConVal girls’ tennis team beat Trinity and Goffstown last week.

On Thursday against Trinity, there were several hard-fought matches that could have gone either way. As it turned out, Julia Peters, Natasha Kipka, Maddie Pagano, Lizzie O’Rourke and Colleen Minnihan all picked up individual wins, and the teams of Maddie Pagano and O’Rourke and Izzi Pagano and Minnihan pulled out doubles wins. ConVal won 6-3.

On Friday, ConVal got a tremendous win over Goffstown.

“The score does not reflect how hard these girls worked to win this match,” said head coach Tamara Vezina.

Peters, Izzi Pagano, Kipka, and Minnihan all won fairly easily individually. The match of the day saw O’Rourke pull off a come-from-behind 8-6 win over Natalie Murphy. ConVal swept the doubles and won 8-1.

The Cougars (4-4) were set to host Windham (4-4) Monday after press time. ConVal travels to Hollis-Brookline Tuesday at 4 p.m.
