The town of New Ipswich is considering beginning a volunteer group for local gardeners and landscapers to help beautify town lands.
The concept was brought up by Selectboard Chair David Lage at the board’s meeting on Tuesday, and a posting will be made on the website, townofnewipswich.org, soon. Landscaping improvement is among the selectmen’s goals for the year.
The town will provide tools and equipment to any residents with a green thumb and will to help. Sites will include the intersections of Main Street and Porter Hill Road, and Mason Road and Ashby Road.
