I am a founder of End Sexual Violence on Campus New Hampshire. I’ve lived in Peterborough my whole life and grew my passion for organizing here. I would not have developed into the organizer I am today without Jonah Wheeler.

Jonah uses the majority of his free time to educate himself and others on social issues and politics. Our ideological differences, although slight, have fueled important discourse on the nature of oppression. We have worked together on several projects, including a justice club in eighth grade, anti-gun violence initiatives, mutual aid and climate control advocacy.

I feel honored to endorse him for state representative of Hillsborough District 33. I know that Jonah is loyal to the principles of a people’s movement. He stays close to the communities he serves, refusing to accept easier, incomplete solutions. He knows that power must be used to empower all instead of a privileged few. Speaking from personal experience, Jonah offers informed and creative ideas to better accommodate our neighbors without home and food stability.

His knowledge of government is extensive, and I feel confident that he would use his elected seat to its fullest potential. Jonah uplifts mutual aid organizations like ESVOC by making their resources accessible to the public. Together, we have harnessed the strength of students and mobilized the Monadnock community to think critically about our laws and systems. Seeing Jonah elected would signal a huge win for the future of progressive legislation in New Hampshire. In middle school, we joked with our classmates about how they would vote for us one day. That day is Sept. 13, and I am happy to say that Jonah Wheeler has my support. You can also vote at any time before the 13th via absentee ballot.
