The sewer rate for Greenville Estates customers has been set at $10.76 per 1,000 gallons this year, up $1.11 from last year’s rate of $9.65 per $1,000.
The townwide rate for sewer is $20 per 1,000 gallons. Greenville Estates, through an agreement with the town, has a separate sewer rate for its residents, calculated on a formula that takes into account the current town budget, industrial and septic revenue and average daily flow. The rate is adjusted based on the same formula on an annual basis
There are 190 units in the Greenville Estates that are covered by the agreement.
The rate took effect Aug. 10, after being approved by the Select Board, which also acts as the town’s water and sewer commissioners, following a public hearing. The rate will be reflected in the next bill to Greenville Estates customers, which will be sent out on Oct. 1.
