The Saturday Afternoon Book Group at Stephenson Memorial Library in Greenfield will host a New Hampshire Humanities Book Group, “Perspectives!” Saturday, April 30, at 2 p.m. in the library’s Wensberg Room. The book is “Hamnet” by Maggie O’Farrell. Books are available at the circulation desk, compliments of New Humanities, and people may keep the books.

The New Hampshire Humanities facilitator will be Carrie Brown. “Hamnet: A Novel of the Plague,” is an imagined re-creation of the early life of Shakespeare. His wife Agnes is an extraordinary young woman, a gifted healer and a central force in her husband’s life. Tragedy occurs in the family just as the young husband’s career in the London theater is taking off.
