Taylor Viles, a Lasell University student from Dublin, participated in the institution’s annual Career Readiness Symposium.

Viles shared an exclusive video special on behalf of Lasell Community Television (LCTV), where students gain experience in working with camera equipment, learn editing software and practice screenwriting. The presentation incorporated the National Association of Colleges and Employers competencies of professionalism, leadership, equity and inclusion and career and self-development.

Viles also shared work from the fall semester on behalf of the 1851 Chronicle, Lasell’s student-run newspaper. Viles is the paper’s sports editor

Lasell’s Career Readiness Symposium takes place every fall and asks students to present original research, projects or field skills that align with core career competencies shared by NACE. Part of the symposium’s goal is to collectively assist students in identifying and pursuing opportunities that allow them to become proficient in those areas as preparation for successful transitions into the workplace.
