Local skaters keep on shredding at the Francestown skate park. The park has gone through a number of incarnations over the years, housing a hockey rink and basketball court before ultimately giving way to a skatepark. The features are now dilapidated – skaters grind away rust every time they hit a rail, and have to pull up short on their landings to avoid the cracked edges where the hockey boards once stood.
“This place has a lot of potential,” said Dylan Patnoe of Bennington. “But, getting money together for it is tough.”
