To the editor:

Andru has done long hard work to make positive changes for New Hampshire and our citizens. The Northern Pass was a no-no and so was the Granite Bridge project for the pipeline and Andru fought for those to not get ground. He worked hard on the major issue for Claremont education funding and has his eye on fixing the problems with inadequate education funding and overburdening other communities with education funding.

I disagree with Andru telling me to talk with Ivy Vann, state representative, and people like her for resolutions to the problem of not having affordable housing here in lovely New Hampshire. Let’s not fill up downtown with tiny spaces for people and no room for cars (“not necessary as they can walk to work and rent a car for a day when a car is needed” according to Ivy). Great for people who live solo and have a job nearby and not feasible for others.

In our town putting rooms in houses along busy streets is not feasible as there is not parking for extra vehicles and where to house couples or small families? Many work positions are not a short stroll downtown and we do not have public transportation connecting our small towns. Five acre lots do not make sense for most people so more thought needs to be done for what will work for housing and transportation for our many small towns here in New Hampshire.

Andru has done strong work on education, the Northern Pass and the Granite Bridge and in the Executive Council seat, now lets see what he plans for fixing our dire need for affordable housing for singles, couples and families and how to make housing work which includes the necessity of vehicles here in our beloved small towns of New Hampshire.
