The Lady Bulldogs came out to play for their doubleheader against Henry Moore of Candia.
In the first two innings of game one, Boynton earned a record 16 hits, 13 RBI, and 21 runs. Samantha Hughson went 3-4 at the plate, Brookelyn Labrie 2-3, and Allison Adams and Shelby Babin each 2-4. Babin alone brought in four runs in the first inning. Hughson had four strikeouts and closing pitcher, Rebecca Staton had three, but the defensive play of the game was a third-to-home tag out by Avery McClain and Kelly Zwicker. Game one ended after three and 1/2 innings 21-1.
The Lady Bulldogs took 10 minutes in between games before starting game two of the day as the away team. Zwicker led off the scoring beating out a play to first and stealing two to be batted in by Alannah Johnson. Johnson was brought in by Shannon Wooster to put Boynton in the lead with 2.
Candia quickly gained the lead, going up 8-2. Boynton came back by storm with 12 hits in the next three innings. Babin hit back to back triples scoring 6. Wooster hit back to back doubles scoring three and Hughson and Adams each brought in three pushing the Boynton lead to 18-8. Hughson closed out the game with three consecutive strikeouts on 14 pitches, three of which were foul balls.
Defensive play of the game went to Molly Caron, who snagged a hard hit grounder to field it out to first.
