ConVal baseball won its last two games to advance to 7-3 on the season, just past the midway point.
On Wednesday, the Cougars beat Merrimack Valley 5-4. Tim Burgess pitched three strong innings in relief of starter Isaac Blake for the win.
On Friday, ConVal hosted mighty Monadnock, shutting them out 3-0. Blake pitched for the victory, throwing a two-hit complete game shutout, while ConVal’s defense played well, turning two double plays.
Blake has now allowed one earned run through 31 innings pitched. He’s 4-0 on the season with a save.
ConVal (7-3) was set to play Goffstown (8-2) on Monday afternoon; the Cougars travel to Windham (6-1) on Friday at 4 p.m.
