The Conant High School Interact Club will host a 5K race on May 22 at Community Field in Jaffrey. The race is a fundraiser for Shelter from the Storm , a local program providing transitional housing and support services for those who have become homeless due to a variety of circumstances.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., the race begins at 9 and will end around noon. The race will take place on Rails to Trails. Anyone can participate, and participants have the chance of winning various gift certificates if they place.
“By producing this 5K, CHS Interact Club is staying involved in the community and helping out close to home,” said Melanie Patria, treasurer of Conant High School’s Interact Club. “We received great enthusiasm and cooperation with Shelter From The Storm with the 3K Interact took part in this past November. We would love to continue helping them and keeping a great connection.”
