A Peterborough man has been indicted for eight counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault on a minor under 13 years of age.
George Murrey, 44, is facing the charges for engaging in multiple sexual acts with a child over the course of eight years.
The earliest charge dates back to 2007 when the victim was 7 years old.
Court documents say between Jan. 2007 and Jan. 2015, Murrey engaged in several sex acts with the victim.
Each of the eight charges are classified as class S felonies, and each carry a prison sentence of 25 years in prison.
The Ledger-Transcript knocked on Murrey’s apartment door in Peterborough on Wednesday afternoon, but no one answered. There was no phone number listed for Murrey.
