The Peterborough Garden Club’s May meeting will feature Ron Trexler speaking about container gardening Monday, May 8, from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at the Shieling Forest State Park Learning Center,  395 Old Street Road.

Trexler is an advanced master gardener with the University of New Hampshire and also the president of the Hooksett NH Garden Club. He will speak about the benefits and drawbacks of gardening in containers, as well container selection, plant selection and design concepts.

 

He will also discuss the proper care and maintenance of container gardens and how to troubleshoot container problems from pests and disease. The public is welcome to attend. Admission is $5, payable in cash at the door. 

 

Organized in April 1962, the Peterborough Garden Club’s mission is to encourage and stimulate interest in the beautification of home and public properties and to study and share information on gardening, horticulture, conservation, flower arranging and related topics.
