A real man with real values
Please read me out on Matt McLaughlin as a real man. Today, that’s very important, as we’re seeing poor role models in both men and women. What does my statement mean? I truly believe Matt has the values almost all of us share. For starters, he is kind and caring. Need proof? His open heart puts him behind the wheel of “Meals on Wheels” twice a week. Honest, open, authentic? I have spoken with Matt on multiple occasions. He’s a big guy with an easy-to-get-to-know personality that emphasizes good listening, and only then does he calmly bring clarifying facts into the conversation. Committed? Born and raised here in Senate District 9, which has now been gerrymandered to favor his opponents, I know Matt is as committed to all of us as he was as a U.S. Navy combat aviator or a commercial airline pilot – both carrying huge responsibilities. You readers probably know all this because he has personally knocked on literally thousands of district doors to hear our concerns. As a senior citizen in Jaffrey, I’m being ruined by increased property taxes. Matt’s top priority is to lower those – and we’d all benefit. He has sound ideas to accomplish this, while his opponent has voted with her party 95% of the time – unable to think for herself or offer anything to lower property taxes. Instead, she has allowed them to increase 25% over the past six years. By contrast, I like this ‘real man.’ I trust him. I’ll vote for Matt so he can provide a healthy, welcome change to SD 9 on November 3.
