The third annual Greenfield Spelling Bee will take place Saturday, May 30, at 10 a.m. at the Greenfield Community Meetinghouse.
Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for registration. Participants may also pre-register during regular hours at Stephenson Memorial Library.
Children and youth ages 7 to 17 will compete in the first round, followed by an adult round for participants 18 and older. Ella Cademartori, director of Stephenson Memorial Library, will officiate.
The event will also feature a bake sale.
Cash prizes will be awarded in each age division, with $100 for first place, $75 for second place and $25 for third place. The entry fee is $10.
The spelling bee is sponsored by Stephenson Memorial Library and the Friends of the Greenfield Community Meetinghouse. Proceeds will benefit the Meetinghouse renovation fund.
