Chad Avery Lohmiller

Hancock, NH – Chad Avery Lohmiller, 46, of Hancock, NH is now at rest with his mother, Rebecca Lohmiller, and the love of his life and companion for almost two decades, Annaliese Goodwin. Chad passed on October 13, 2026, at Catholic Medical Center, in Manchester, with family and friends at his side.

He was born in Peterborough to George and Rebecca Lohmiller. He grew up in Hancock with a passion for the outdoors, and a spirit of derring-do, causing his parents to be both anxious and proud. After graduating from Conval High School he received a degree in business from NH Technical Institute.

He accomplished a lot in his 46 years, helping his father run and grow the family business, Our Town Landscaping. Over time, he became a master stone builder, and his work can be found on properties throughout the Monadnock region. Winters found him with his greatest passion, grooming and managing the trails at Pat’s Peak in Henniker for over 20 years.

At home, he could be found making trails all through the family property, and dotting the landscape with cairns, some of which seem to stand against all odds. He loved animals, especially his dog Jedi, and more recently, his goats Leverne and Shirely, who would follow him anywhere.

Chad is survived by his father George and his wife Robin; his brother Bayard; his beloved aunt Ann Avery; and many friends, including past and current employees of Our Town Landscaping.

There will be a gathering for close friends and family at Our Town Landscaping, Elmwood Rd, Hancock, on November 7, from 11:00 AM to 2:00PM. A graveside service will be planned for next spring.
